This panorama, taken by James Blakeway, spotlights the highly-anticipated, nationally televised matchup between two ACC rivals, the Virginia Cavaliers and the Louisville Cardinals, playing at a sold-out John Paul Jones Arena. John Paul Jones Arena has been the home of Virginia basketball since the 2006-07 season. With a seating capacity of 14,593 for basketball games, JPJ has become known for its raucous crowds and intimidating home court advantage. John Paul Jones Arena also features practice courts, offices and a weight room for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs, in addition to an academic center and student-athlete dining hall.
